HOME SWEET HOME Inspections offers a thorough and complete TOTAL HOME INSPECTION, including a partnership with licensed professionals for TERMITES and PEST CONTROL.
The inspector cannot, and does not, "inspect to code".
The Building Code is only a minimum standard and any house 'built to code" is built to that minimum standard. Codes are reviewed and revised every few years as a
result of acidents that may have caused injury or death.
What was considered 'safe' in 1923 or 1958 may not be 'safe' in 2006.
The inspector will point out revisions in the code, and conditions that vary from the code, as a matter of safety.
What does the inspector actually do?
The inspector inspects the house, documents the conditions, explains what
those conditions mean, gives an opinion of typical causes for those conditions,
and helps with possible remedies including recommending an expert.
If the CLIENT would prefer a more informal inspection, still inspecting all the "nooks and crannies", HOME SWEET HOME Inspections offers "walk-through" inspection. The inspector will walk through the house with the CLIENT and answer any questions about certain issues that are of concern in the house. There is a small fee ($89.00), $30.00 of which is applied to the fee for a complete home inspection. If the CLIENT desires to have two "walk-through" inspections, $60.00 will be deducted from the total home inspection fee.
If, for any reason, the CLIENT should decide not to buy a house inspected by HOME SWEET HOME Inspections, the CLIENT shall receive a $75.00 discount off the fee for a second total home inspection.

Choosing an inspector:
An inspector should provide you with accurate, honest and realistic information about the property so you can make an informed decision. Price should be the last consideration in your search for an inspector. When choosing a home inspector you need to know about your inspector.
Interview the inspector, asking question concerning experience, insurance, and services performed, and does the inspector exceed the industry minimum standards.
Anyone else is just "looking around"
