I’m a home inspector from the ground up, with over 35 years of combined construction trades and inspection experience.  I also have a background in HVAC and electrical.  Specializing in residential inspections, I cover the greater Cincinnati area and Southwestern Ohio.

I encourage clients to participate in the inspection.  We can learn the house together.  During this time, I can offer you preventive maintenance tips, as well as the education to make you more in control, confident, and at ease about your home.  I like to answer your questions on the spot and during follow-up; they’re a protective concern for probably the largest investment you will ever make.  Your accompanying me will reinforce my final report.

A "point-form narrative", my report is comprehensive and understandable.  It is 18 to 25 pages, plus photos taken during the inspection, and is delivered to you the next day in a coil-bound book that is "the Story of Your Home".

 

Before the inspection you will receive an agreement for you to read and understand. 

 

You will also receive a copy of the STANDARDS OF PRACTICE and CODE OF ETHICS prior to the inspection.

 

I request at least 48 hours’ advance notice but will accommodate emergency situations as best I can. I never schedule back-to-back inspections; I want to take enough time to be meticulous in performing yours. My advice doesn’t end with the inspection. I encourage follow-up phone conversations to discuss your report and any concerns you may have.

 

How do I differ from other inspectors? Education. Nearly forty years of experience have made me very familiar with houses and how to educate you on your investment.

Much of my business is from word-of-mouth referrals given by satisfied clients and realtors, which means a great deal to me.

 

I’m the farthest thing from a “drive-by inspector”!  A thorough inspection will average 3 to

3 1/2 hours, but I will take longer, if necessary.
